Serratenediol diacetate is a molecule that is structurally related to lycoclavanol. It is a β-unsaturated ketone with structural features that are similar to those of serratenol and serratulene. Serratenediol diacetate has been used as a reagent in the synthesis of β-unsaturated ketones, such as cyclopentenone and cyclohexenone. This molecule can be obtained by epoxidation of serratenediol with peracetic acid or by dehydrating the corresponding acetate ester.
