Arcitumomab (CEA-Scan) is a murine monoclonal Fab’fragment of IMMU-4, an MAb generated in murine ascitesfluid. Both IMMU-4 and arcitumomab react with carcinoembryonicantigen (CEA), a tumor-associated antigenwhose expression is increased in various carcinomas, especiallythose of the GI tract. The preparation is a protein,murine Ig Fab fragment from IgG1, for chemical labelingwith Tc-99m.
