Wilforlide A acetate has been shown to have a number of bioactive properties, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial activities. It also has been found to inhibit the synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines and prostaglandins by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2).
